Our Indiegogo Campaign Has Launched!
This announcement is a little belated, but our Indiegogo campaign is LIVE! We launched last week, meeting 25% of our goal on day 5 of a 35 day campaign. This is a great start, but we still have a long way to go and need to keep the momentum going.
We need funds to cover post-production costs only, meaning the film has already been shot and we’re nearly done with editing. Specifically, money raised through the crowdfunding campaign will go towards audio finishing, color correction, original music composition, festival fees, travel to festivals, and community screenings. See our story on Indiegogo for more details.
The primary goal of this film is to promote awareness of the unseen realities of mood and anxiety disorders, and the power of games as a coping strategy. We need help delivering this message, so please, CLICK HERE TO CONTRIBUTE!
Because our goal is flexible, we get to keep the funds we raise even if we don’t meet our goal, meaning this film will get finished no matter what. But in order to afford all of the professional postproduction services that the film deserves, we really do need to meet our goal of $8,000 (if not surpass it with a “stretch goal,” if we can) – it’s based on price quotes from professionals who are ideal for the work.
If you can’t contribute, or already have, please help us maintain our momentum. Share our Indiegogo campaign using this link: https://igg.me/at/gameflowdoc
Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and help spread the word about the documentary any way that you can. If you know anyone at all that you specifically think would be interested – maybe a gamer or mental health awareness advocate in your life – please consider sending them the campaign link in a personal email. Fundraisers are most successful when people reach out and spread the word personally.
To our backers so far: thank you so very much for your generous support. We’re endlessly grateful for your help in bringing our project to life. Seriously, the first 25% of our goal is a huge milestone. But now we need your help to keep the momentum going.
