Crowdfunding End & a New Soundtrack
The Indiegogo campaign for Game Flow ended on December 2, 2018, with our team successfully raising $2,530 for postproduction for our documentary. We may not have reached our goal, but as a team of two first-time fundraisers with full-time jobs, we feel pretty good about it!
We would to sincerely thank everyone who contributed – we couldn’t finish this documentary properly without you, and we can’t wait to finish it and share the final product with the world.
Our ever-expanding team of collaborators has been hard at work putting the new funds to good use: the film now has an amazing new, originally-composed soundtrack, and we are very close to beginning the final audio mix with a new sound designer.
The new soundtrack is by Ninichi, an extremely talented UK-based composer who makes music for film, games and other media. We had a lot of great composers reach out to us after we posted on social media about the position, and it was a tough decision – but Ninichi really stood out, especially for her experience creating chiptunes and retro game-inspired music. We just finished laying the new tracks into our fine cut of the documentary, and we’re really excited about it. There will be a longer blog post about the composition process coming soon, but in the meantime, here’s a sneak preview of the main theme song for the film:
Stay tuned for more news as we continue with postproduction!

We need funds to cover post-production costs only, meaning the film has already been shot and we’re nearly done with editing. Specifically, money raised through the crowdfunding campaign will go towards audio finishing, color correction, original music composition, festival fees, travel to festivals, and community screenings.
